Club Grand Prix

Today we started the Grand Prix at the African Chess Lounge. This is like our own chess league. Players collect points each time they play, and the points are added up to make a scoreboard.
👉 How the points work:
Come to play (attendance): 1 point
Win a game: 3 points
Draw a game: 1 point
Lose a game: 0 points
Bye (no opponent): 1.5 points
The best part is that any club member can join at any time. Even if you missed today, you can still join next time and start earning points!

🌟 Player Highlights
Chase Salimu was the star of the day! He won all his games (4 out of 4) and is in first place with 13 points.
Mila Snyman was the best girl player today. She finished strongly with 10 points.
Atlegang Lekau is our youngest player, and he did really well, scoring points and learning from every game.
Rahul Kalpee, Jordan Braaf, and Lee Anne Matima each got their first wins – a big step forward!
Callan Manning, Kevin Gwanzura, and Ndumiso Ngidi also reached 10 points, keeping the chase for the top spot very close.
🏆 Closing Note
It was a fun day with lots of good moves and exciting games. The Grand Prix continues, and we can’t wait to see more players join and try to climb the table!
